The Journey

Peter Constandinou: Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa; "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us"(Marianne Williamson). I live by this quote. A person can come from nothing and rise to become something great as long as you believe in yourself. Just after I matriculated in 2003 at the age of 17 from Grey College, I had to basically say GOODBYE to my dad for 18 months, which he was the bread winner in our family, we lost everything but not our pride. In those 18 months with consistent hard work and self-discipline I was able to make a success. The experience and knowledge I have gained is merely the foundation for me to start building an even bigger future. I grew in so many ways and got everything back plus my dad,I had no degree just a matric and worked myself up to who I am today, a successful business man who is very passionate, loving, caring and have total RESPECT for young/old, male/female.

1. Have you considered yourself a hunk in school or what kind of Grey man were you? ANSWER: I was quite shy at school, but enjoyed my time there. Grey is a great school. 2. When did you modelling career start? ANSWER: Like yesterday!....... This is the first time I've modeled. It was a fashion shoot and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mr South Africa is my first experience in the industry. 3. What are the advantages of being a model/Mr SA finalist? ANSWER: Being part of Mr South Africa has been an incredible experience. I have met amazing people, been to places I've never been before and made some good friends. Being a finalist definitely does create more networking opportunities and give good exposure. 4. Are you out to change the world (or part of it) and if yes, what is your strategy? ANSWER: I don't think I can change the world, but I truly believe that I can make a difference through interaction with others and by being involved in community projects and outreach programmes. Maybe I can influence others through my actions in a positive way. 5. What would be you main purpose once you have won the title as Mr SA? ANSWER: To be an ambassador for our Rainbow Nation. To represent all that is good about our country. 6. What do you consider the one thing all ladies need to work on? ANSWER: Never to stop being ladies, nor lose their femininity. We, as men, also need to make them feel like ladies and to treat them with respect. 7. What are one thing you know without a doubt? ANSWER: That I love my family. My parents mean the world to me and they are always there for me.

Home made hamburger patty

Ingredients:

* 750g Beef mince

*1 large onion

*1 tsp garlic crushed

*1 tbs worceester sauce

*2 tsp tobasco sauce or any hot sauce

*1/4 cup parsley

*1 cup breadcrumps

*1 egg lightly whisked

* salt & pepper

Add all ingredients in a large bowl and mix WELL.

Put in fridge for 30 minutes so it can settle and not break while you grilling it.

Cook away and enjoy*
