The Toy Run was great fun with an amazing atmosphere. Everyone gathered at North-Ridge Mall in Bloemfontein round 8 o`clock on the 28th November. At 10am they calculated and there was over a 1000 bikes and over 2000 people attending the Toy Run.
I was lucky enough to say a few words on stage as a Semi-Finalist about Mr South Africa 2011 and The Chrysalis foundation with the rest of the other charities I am supporting. I got an opportunity to ask them to support me.
It was a tough crowd to please but I made sure I got their attention and by the end they were cheering and clapping for me.
I donated 7 bags of clothes and shoes to the Toy Run plus a few Teddy bears.
The entire day was a huge success and great fun.

Converting Flour in to Money for the Chrysalis foundation
I approached Sasko and asked them for a donation, next day they came back and told me they can donate only Sasko products. I e-mailed Rhona Scheppel and asked her if I can donate Sasko products. She got back to me and told me that she won't be able to use it for the Chrysalis foundation but they will hand it over to another charity, which I thought was very thoughtful but I had a problem. How would I get the products to them. So I decided to take the products from Sasko which was flour and I made a project out of it.
I have my own business which is a bakery, so I took the Sasko products which was two 12,5kg flour and made pies from it. I sold the pies to the public to raise money for the Chrysalis foundation which I raise R150 out of this project.

Fund Raising forms for the Chrysalis foundation
When I got chosen for the for Mr South Africa 2011 semi-finalist top 50, my first project I came up with and what I thought would be the most affective way to broaden the awareness for the charity that Mr South Africa chose for us is to communicate with people face to face. I made forms and decide to go around Bloemfontein and speak to people about the Chrysalis Foundation and asked them for donations.
I started with the forms the next day and set off. I approached most businesses, people and even went to the police department.
Up till now I raised in total over R2000 with this project for the Chrysalis foundation but most of all I showed awareness of the butterfly (The Chrysalis Foundation)

The Brandy tasting was a huge success. It was held at Summer Wood were 22 geusts which got invited to attend this special fund raising function for The Chrysalis Foundation.
All the guests got a special butterfly ribbon which showed awareness of the butterrfly.
We had Pieter Stone from Distell that sponsored prizes and held the brandy tasting for us which we learnt alot about what types of brandy's you got like potstilled and that its white and it gets its colour from the barrels. The shortest period for a brandy to stand in the barrel is 3years for any brandy.
After the tasting there where finger foods for the geusts, which after we started Auctioning off the prizes sponsored by Distell. The highest bid that night was R2500, which also ranged between R500 to R1500.
In total we raised over R8000.00
I am so humble and greatful for the great support we had the evening
Thank you*

Judging (Saturday morning)
Got to Sandton Convention Centre round 8:30 am, knowing I was first up.
I was the first one to have the one on one judging in Gauteng, nerves kicked in but yet anxious to hear what questions they were going to ask me.
Entering the door, there I see Denver Burns sitting in the middle, first question he asked me:
“Who is the mayor of Bloemfontein?” me not knowing, I tell him, “No idea” but I did respond by say that I am a hard worker and I am updating my politics and general knowledge day by day. Oh by the way the mayor of Bloemfontein is France Kosinyane “Playfair” Morule, born on the 9th September 1960.
Well the rest of the interview was quite normal but yet still stressful till they got to my youtube video. They asked me: “hope you weren’t driving” &”hope you were wearing a safety belt”. Honestly, I was wearing a safety belt and yes I was driving but I wasn’t recording the video, so I don’t see any harm done but please if you did watch it and you are reading this, learn from my mistakes and don’t do it, only reason I done it is because the deadline for the video was an hour away and I was two hours away from Johannesburg. I never miss a deadline.
Other questions he asked: “why don’t you smile in your photos?” Well it wasn’t up to me, it was all up to the photographers and “How do you get so much votes?” Well that is all the support & love from Bloemfonteiners, family and friends all over South Africa.
To MY SUPPORTER thank you and lots of love, really appreciate it all.
Well after the interview was done, I was chosen to walk for the Sandton Bridal Expo, I was one of the seven chosen from Mr SA 2011 Semi-Finalists and it was great fun. I really enjoyed it a lot.

The event was held at Barbas Cafe here in Bloemfontein. There was plus minus 400 people that attended the event, each one received a butterfly ribbon I made and a cocktail when they entered. The aim of the event was to raise money and raise awareness of The Chrysalis Foundation and it was a huge success.
We raised money by charging eveyrone which entered R20 by the door and we sold raffle ticket for R10.
Great prizes was sponsored by Distell which we raffled of at the end of the night.
We raised between the door and raffles over R7900 but most of all raised awareness for the Chrysalis foundation.
Thank you for all the support
God Bless
